Pre-show:
Children gather in the foyer
Collect bell bangles
A group of 6 selected children do a preliminary activity with Imogen
They get seated on the cushions at the front of the stage

Show Begins
Sound fades, House lights out, Video is projected with V/O story and Imogen sitting with her book part narrating her own story
Voice/Over with Video: Imogen is a story teller and this is her story and because her story is happening right here and now, she begins it with the words, “Once upon the time of now ….there is a Star Queen in the Night Sky, whose name is Ultra Violet.
She’s everywhere at the same time because she can travel faster than the speed of light … and she’s mainly invisible although sometimes, children especially, can see her traces ands trails in the night sky.

Imogen loves numbers. All sorts of numbers but especially the number seven. She loves it so much that she’s called her story, this story, The Seven Little Wonders.
Video fades.
(StarQueen tinkles, a burst of purple light and some sparkle effect on the screen to suggest Ultra Violet has intiaited what follows)
The light pattern on the floor moves onto the purple haze background video on the screen as new music plays – 126. Imogen Underscore.5.aiff
Imogen runs to the cyc … pocketting her book. She scans the image.
She counts the 6 light frames from OP to C … and wonders where the 7th one is.
(she is miked)
She goes to the PS end and counts the frames again only 6 … where is the 7th?
She stand UC and counts the frames from the outside in, using both hands with her “special hand gestures”.
1,2,3,4,5,6 then “7” …. (StarQueen tinkles)
A circle appears in the seventh position, which pleases her.
She reaches up to touch it
(a burst of purple light and some sparkle effect on the screen which the disappearance of the circle and triggers a line of 6 circles on the stage floor behind her.
She steps through the line of circles running from UC to DC … there are only 6!!
She double checks the circles by jumping upstage through the circles again and observes the “gap” where there used to be the circle representing “7”.
Okay … she decides to apply the power of her gesture sequence – as she did with the cyclorama.
As before, 1,2,3,4,5,6 and when she makes the special final “7” gesture, the 7th circle appears.
As she steps into it it “opens” out through a transition with tinkles, a burst of violet and some sparkes – to light her fully in its radiance!
She goes through the gesture sequence again – wondering what it bring …
It brings nothing …. she’s a littel perplexed.
She does the 7’s sequence again … this time more mindfully drawing her audience into the sequence … and “landing” the number “7” viewing frame of her hands on its members … which intiaites the next effect.
Imogen is always thinking about her story. When she wants to sort out her thoughts, she goes to a special place in the night sky. It’s an imagining place; the place of dreams and Star Queens

Once upon the time of now … Ultra Violet, Star Queen of the Night Sky introduced StarMan Sam to Imogen ….
To StarMan Sam, she says – “before you go home to your loved ones, you must successfully complete your mission here on earth, which is to find someone to take your place as the music and colour keeper of the seven little wonders.
Congratulations! You have been chosen! Come with me to the night sky to dance the star-dance with Imogen so that she can be part of the story to help Starman Sam return home to his wife and child.
To complete StarMan Sam’s mission you must create a star within a star, dance the star dance together and agree to become the keepers of music and colour here on earth … Create a star within a star …. (whispered) Find the missing piece…
You are a star within a star ... find the missing piece.
The seven parts of “seven” make the whole – to complete the star – you must find the misssing piece.
(WITH REGRET) Without the MISSING PIECE, the Star is not complete and StarMan Sam cannot go home.
You have made a star within a star and danced the Star Dance together …
So now I ask … do you agree to be the music and colour keepers of the seven little wonders here on earth with Imogen as your Star Queen?

Imogen arrives in the story … You need to get home? I’m not sure what to do? UV answers by defining the mission …. star within a star etc. (26 min)
SECOND PINCH POINT
UV declares If the star is incomplete thenStarMan Sam cannot go home … (reveal an image of wife and child) It’s as if UV herself is saying I cannot do anymore – the rest is up to you. (30 min)
Act 3 – 35 to 45 min
THIRD PLOT POINT
Imogen brings Sam out of his “BLUES” despair with bells (music and colour) (35min)

Pledge and Ordination of Imogen + Star Children as new heroes of the realm – they are the Seven Little Wonders (42min)

FIRST PLOT POINT
Once upon the time of now, Starman Sam was sent to earth on a mission by Ultra Violet, the Star Queen of the Night Sky.
FIRST PINCH POINT
*Once upon the time of now … Ultra Violet, Star Queen of the Night Sky introduced StarMan Sam to Imogen …. To StarMan Sam, she says – “before you go home to your loved ones, you must successfully complete your mission here on earth, which is to find someone to take your place as the music and colour keeper of the seven little wonders.
MIDPOINT ~ SECOND PLOT POINT
Congratulations! You have been chosen! Come with me to the night sky to dance the star-dance with Imogen so that she can be part of the story to help Starman Sam return home to his wife and child.
Imogen so that she speaks with Sam who responds through music)
IM: This was NOT meant to happen!

The dynamics of the Second Pinch-Point are built into the sequence of video interventions of Ultra Violet that follow.
AFTER COMPLETING BIG STAR – there’s a UV twinkle sound and the image zooms in on the small star. (Zoom in Video) (LITTLE STAR)
AFTER COMPLETING THE LITTLE STAR – there’s a UV twinkle sound and the video segments direct Imogen and Sam to place the star corners which reveals what is missing – the seventh corner. (VIDEO: MISSING PIECE 1, 2, 3)
AFTER PLACING THE SIX PIECES she says:
*The seven parts of “seven” make the whole –to complete the star – you must find the misssing piece.

For StarMan Sam to return home to his loved ones, you must together … complete a star within a star, dance the star dance together …. and agree to become the keepers of music and colour here on earth … create a star within a star …. (whispered) find the piece the missing piece ..
When UV finishes … T o complete Starman Sam’s mission you must complete a star within a star, dance the star dance together and agree to become the keepers of music and colour here on earth … create a star within a star …. find the missing piece …
Q 1195 The diagram is on the screen and the red droplet begins to flash.
Imogen goes to the screen and cross references it with the flashing light – noticing that it needs to move to the centre circle.
Starman Sam acknowledges this observation by playing the “C’ note on the melodica.
Imogen picks up the droplet and places it – as she does so there’s a little tinkle and the red pool goes out.
StarMan Sam then plays the D note to the orange droplet and Imogen picks it up and places it centre and the light pool goes out as she lands it in the centre with a bell tinkle.
This continues all the way through the 7 colours and notes leaving all the droplets in position in the circle
Q 1202 – The Big rope gets laid out

Q1203 – UV and graphics explain – To complete your mission … you must create a star within a star … create a star within a star … find the missing piece …
Sam and Imogen respond to directions and make the little star
Q 1204-5 Once it is complete – UV directs them to add the corners – she does this with a tinkle which lights up the red and indigo lights and music and a graphic that directs them to add the star corners that the star kids have in their care
Q 1206-7 This continues for the other two sets of corners…
When the yellow and green corners are in place … Ultra Violet indicates in the graphic that “the seven parts of seven make the whole … to complete the star, you must find the missing piece … find the missing piece
The violet droplet is flashing …
Imogen realises that the missing piece is hers and that she has left it behind …
Imogen: I’ve left it behind …
Q1207 incorporates all of this … Ultra Violet despondently informs them “Without the missing piece, the star is not complete … and Sharman Sam cannot go home to his wife and child … “
As she says this, we hear the blues music begin and see an image of Euca and Anya …
We hear Sam say in broken language as before .. .plantive and heart-broken …
